Sequoia Nova is an international school in the vibrant district of Sathorn, Bangkok. We offer two complementary pathways: a bilingual French section and an international English section. Both provide a personalised, future‑focused education designed for learners aged 6 to 11.

Founded by Christophe Galian, Acacia International Preschools has become a recognised leader in multilingual early childhood education in SouthEast Asia. Christophe’s vision was always rooted in more than just education — it’s about cultivating global citizens who are empathetic, confident, and ready to explore the world. Acacia’s approach ensures that children develop strong language skills, creativity, and resilience from the very start.
Led by visionary educator David Doran, WeLearn Academy has carved a name for itself as a groundbreaking alternative to traditional schooling in Bangkok. Focused on project-based learning, entrepreneurship, and real-world skills, WeLearn prepares students for a rapidly changing global future. David’s mission was to redefine education by breaking down outdated systems and replace them with a learner-driven, future-focused model that fosters independence, critical thinking, and purpose.
Sequoia Nova International Primary School commits to making a positive impact in the community and beyond. As part of our ESG efforts to support social causes around children’s education, an annual charity event is held every year to raise to provide educational opportunities to underprivileged children in Thailand.
Sequoia Nova is also committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. From using eco-friendly materials to implementing hands-on permaculture projects, sustainability is a priority. We educate students to be conscious global citizens, capable of making a positive environmental and social impact.
Enforcing Good Habits: Children are taught to reduce their energy consumption and be more mindful of their ecological impact through simple everyday gestures such as turning off lights, recycling, etc.
Green Learning Spaces: We provide outdoor spaces that encourage environmental learning and play, including gardening areas where students can apply their knowledge of sustainability and foster a connection to nature and sustainable living.
His professional journey has taken him all across Southeast Asia, where he has made significant contributions to various educational institutions. From his impactful roles at the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) in Vietnam to his invaluable experience with the Ministry of Education in Singapore and the Alliance Française de Bangkok in Thailand, Mr Christophe has left an indelible mark on the educational landscape of the region.
The WeLearn concept descended upon David during the second year of online schooling the oldest of his 4 children, who was 13 at the time. David’s subsequent deep dive into online education led him to discussions on personalization, the 4Cs, future jobs, and 21st century skills, he saw that that the online medium held an amazing potential for radically transforming the way children learn and parents live. Its benefits, however, were beyond the reach of most parents due to obstacles such as the difficulty of course selection and the lack of collaboration, socialization, supervision, and applied learning space. Removing these obstacles could create the core of a new learning paradigm, providing an ideal solution to leapfrog education reform’s glacial pace and help millions of children worldwide receive an affordable education, relevant to their digital future.
In 2017, David resigned from the chairmanship of his first start-up to establish WeLearn and pursue this mission as WeLearn’s Founding Father, David’s mission is simple: to help the millions of children like his to find their places and passions in this world, and be freed from an education system that has not kept up with the learning needs of the present, let alone the future.
